Dialysis Services for Patients & Families Across Florida

Certified Kidney Care Provider

Whether you need dialysis at a center, during a hospital stay, or in the comfort of your own home — ARC Dialysis is here to support you every step of the way.

You Don't Have to Face Kidney Disease Alone

Finding out you need dialysis can feel overwhelming. At ARC Dialysis, we are here to walk alongside you — with experienced nurses, trained dialysis technicians, and caring staff at every visit.

ARC Dialysis is a certified kidney care provider serving patients across Florida. We offer hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, home dialysis, and specialized therapies for people who need dialysis in the hospital. Our goal is simple: to make sure you get safe, reliable treatment that fits your life.

We have more than 13 locations throughout Florida — including Miami, Hialeah, Dunnellon, Winter Haven, Bonita Springs, and more — so you can receive care close to home, close to family, and close to the things that matter most to you.

Who We Care For

Our dialysis centers welcome patients at many stages of kidney disease and recovery.

Chronic Kidney Disease

If your kidneys can no longer clean your blood on their own, dialysis helps do that work. We care for adults living with end-stage kidney disease (ESKD) who need regular, ongoing treatments.

Acute Kidney Injury

Sometimes kidneys stop working suddenly due to illness, surgery, or injury. We provide dialysis to patients in the hospital during these difficult moments, working alongside your hospital care team.

Home Dialysis Patients

If you prefer to do your treatments at home, we can train and support you. Home dialysis gives you more flexibility and independence while still keeping you safe and connected to your care team.

Patients in Skilled Nursing or Rehab

If you are recovering in a skilled nursing facility or rehabilitation center, we can bring dialysis to you — reducing travel stress and helping your recovery stay on track.

Dialysis Treatment Options We Offer

There are different types of dialysis. Your kidney doctor (nephrologist) and ARC care team will help you find the right treatment for your health and lifestyle.

Hemodialysis

A machine filters waste and extra fluid from your blood. Most sessions take 3–4 hours and happen 3 times a week at one of our dialysis centers. Our trained staff is with you the entire time to keep you comfortable and safe.

Peritoneal Dialysis (PD)

Instead of a machine, this treatment uses the lining of your abdomen to filter your blood. It can often be done at home on your own schedule. We provide the training, supplies, and ongoing support you need to do PD safely.

Continuous Dialysis (CRRT)

If your kidneys stop working suddenly while you are in the hospital — due to illness, infection, or injury — we provide continuous dialysis around the clock. Our team works closely with your hospital doctors to keep you stable.

Plasmapheresis

This is a specialized treatment that filters the liquid part of your blood (plasma). It is used for certain autoimmune and neurological conditions. We provide this therapy in hospital settings with trained clinical staff.

Home Dialysis

Both hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis can be done at home. We offer thorough training so you and a caregiver can do treatments comfortably. Our team stays connected with you for ongoing check-ins and support.

What to Expect at Your Dialysis Visits

Starting dialysis is a big step. Here is what a typical visit looks like so you can feel prepared and at ease.

Before Your First Visit

Your doctor or care team will refer you to ARC Dialysis. Bring your insurance card, a photo ID, your list of medications, and any medical records from your nephrologist. Our staff will guide you through everything on your first day.

When You Arrive

You will be greeted by our team and checked in. Before each treatment, we will take your blood pressure, weight, and temperature. We want to make sure you are comfortable and ready before treatment begins.

During Your Treatment

A trained nurse or dialysis technician will monitor you throughout your session. For hemodialysis, most sessions last about 3–4 hours. You can rest, watch TV, read, or listen to music. Our staff is always nearby.

After Your Treatment

After dialysis, some patients feel a little tired — this is normal. Your care team will check your vitals before you leave. They will also let you know what signs to watch for between visits and when to call the center.

Transportation Help

Getting to dialysis three times a week can be a challenge. Our team can help you explore transportation options, including medical transport services that accept Medicare and Medicaid.

Insurance & Coverage

We work with Medicare, Medicaid, and most major insurance plans. Our staff can help you understand your coverage and answer billing questions so there are no surprises.

Your Safety Is Our First Priority

Every time you come in for treatment, we follow careful, proven steps to keep you safe and healthy.

Infection Prevention

Preventing infection is one of the most important parts of dialysis care. We follow strict cleaning and safety procedures before, during, and after every treatment — following CDC and Florida DOH guidelines — to help keep you and other patients protected.

Safe Water & Treatment Fluids

The water used during hemodialysis must be very clean and pure. We test our water and treatment fluids regularly to make sure they meet strict safety standards (AAMI). This helps lower your risk of complications and keeps every treatment as safe as possible.

Ongoing Quality Improvement

We track your treatment results and regularly review how we are doing as a team. If something can be done better, we make changes. Our goal is always to improve the care you receive — and to make sure you feel heard and respected.

Frequently Asked Questions

Here are answers to some of the most common questions patients and families ask about dialysis.

Is dialysis painful?

Most patients do not find dialysis painful. You may feel a brief pinch when the needle is placed, and some people feel a little tired or lightheaded after treatment — especially at first. Our staff will make sure you are as comfortable as possible throughout every session.

How long does a dialysis treatment take?

Most hemodialysis sessions last 3 to 4 hours and are done 3 times per week. Home peritoneal dialysis schedules can vary. Your care team will work with you and your doctor to find a schedule that fits your life.

What should I bring to my appointment?

Bring your insurance card, a photo ID, and your medication list. You may also want to bring a light snack, something to read or watch, and a blanket or sweater if you get cold easily. Our staff can tell you more during your first visit.

Can I travel while on dialysis?

Yes — many dialysis patients travel. We can help you arrange treatments at other dialysis centers while you are away. Talk to your care team at least a few weeks before your trip so they can coordinate everything for you.

What happens if I miss a treatment?

Missing dialysis can be dangerous because waste and fluid build up in your body. If you need to reschedule, call your center as soon as possible. Our staff will work with you to find another time. Never skip a session without talking to your care team first.

Does ARC accept my insurance?

We accept Medicare, Medicaid, and most major insurance plans. Our staff can help you verify your coverage and walk you through any questions you have about costs or billing. Call us before your first visit and we will be glad to help.
